Kent will face an uphill battle to claim something from their County Championship game with Gloucestershire when the two sides resume again on Sunday morning.
Another rain interrupted day at Canterbury saw the visitors once again take control of preceedings, with Kent starting the day on 119 for 6 and Geraint Jones and James Tredwell looking to build a partnership.
Those thoughts quickly evaporated though as the pair only added thirteen to the overnight score before Tredwwell was Will Gidman’s fourth victim of the innings, bowled for just eleven.
Matt Coles came and went much quicker, lasting just three balls before being run out, with Geraint Jones becoming Gidman’s fifth victim in the next over.
Last pairing Mark Davies and Charlie Shreck too the score onto 150 before the latter was caught at short leg, leaving Kent with a 105 run deficit in the first innings.
Needing early wickets to stand a chance of getting something of a sniff of a chance of a win, Kent were to be disappointed, both by the weather and the Gloucestershire batsmen.
Only three wickets were to fall in all as Alex Gidman and Hamish Marshall took the side from 97 for 3, to 191 for 3 at the close, leaving Kent a mountain to climb on the last day.

Close of play on Day 3: Gloucestershire 255 all out & 191 for 3, Kent 150 all out.
